Dr. Lilian Chen-Fortanasce, PT, DPT, OCS
She received her Doctoral in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Southern California in 2003. She is the first Chinese to receive this degree from the University of Southern California and received the Orthopaedic Specialist (OCS).
Dr. Chen Yue has long been committed to promoting the exchange and dissemination of physical therapy and physical training between China and the United States. Since 2006, Dr. Chen Yue has been responsible for the rehabilitation training program of the Training Bureau of the State Sports General Administration and promoted and established the first international internship program to provide education to rehabilitation experts at national and provincial training centers in China. Dr. Chen Yue served as a rehabilitation consultant for the Chinese delegation during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2012 London Olympics; in 2014, she was the rehabilitation consultant for the Chinese speed skating team at the Sochi Winter Olympics; and the director of the Chinese team's key athlete rehabilitation consultant team at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics; Rehabilitation consultant for the Chinese Olympic Committee of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and Japan 2020.
Dr. Chen Yue is a Maternal Health expert certified by the American Physical Therapy Association. Since 2014, she has been committed to promoting the development of pelvic floor health and maternity rehabilitation in China. Now it has established a technical platform for the physical therapy industry in China, providing internationally advanced evidence-based rehabilitation knowledge and technical systems, including basic courses in orthopedics rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, maternity and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and international advanced courses. It aims to build a bridge between China and the United States, promote the development of the domestic physical therapy industry, and train elites in physical therapy.
Dr. Chen Yue was authorized by the American Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy (JOSPT) Clinical Practice Guidline in 2012 to host Chinese translation and proofreading. The Journal of Sports Medicine has been publish the translated Guideline since 2014; and Since 2018 the translated Chinese version of the Clinical Guideline is published in the Journal of Rehabilitation. Dr. Chen Yue is also the liaison and a clinical instructor for the University of Southern California's international residency and fellowship and clinical teaching module in China.
