Sports Vs. Science: Evidence Based Rehabilitation for the Athletic Population
Dr. Hartman is a former collegiate athlete himself and got used to being in the training room after multiple injuries. It was through these experiences that he decided to pursue a profession where he could help increase the evidence-based practice as it pertained to movement and rehabilitation within the athletic population. Dr. Hartman has completed a 3 year collegiate athletic training internship, graduated from UCSB with a minor in Exercise & Sports Studies and Fitness Instruction with CSCS certification. Earned his doctoral degree in physical therapy from APU, completed a postdoctoral orthopaedic residency, a post doctoral sports orthopaedic fellowship, and will be pursuing a post doctoral spine rehabilitation fellowship this coming year. In all of these settings his mentors always inspired him to use the best evidence to guide his practice. His main focus will be bridging the gap between current research and sports specific training as it pertains to the high level athlete or athletic movements.
