Dr. Jessica Mena, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Jessica Mena graduated from Whittier College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy.
Throughout her 4 years at Whittier College she worked as an athletic training student, and from 2008-2012 assisted the WNBA- LA Sparks Head Athletic Trainer as an intern.
Then in 2012 she was accepted into the Azusa Pacific University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, and graduated in 2015. Dr. Mena completed the Kaiser Permanente Orthopaedic Residency Program, and currently in the Kaiser Permanente Sports Fellowship.
In early 2017, her passion for physical therapy and running inspired her to launch her website temporun-dpt.org in efforts to extend her reach to the large running community. Here she provides evidence based articles related to injury education, training, and injury prevention to the public. Her goal is to continue to represent the physical therapy field within the active community. She currently assists with 3 local running groups, and provides pro-bone running clinics for underserving high schools in the San Fernando Valley.
