Dr. Chris Patterson, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS
Dr. Chris Patterson graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2006 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2009 he was certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting for the last 10 years.
In 2015 Dr. Patterson became a full time assistant professor at Azusa Pacific University and teaches in the physical therapy program specializing in motion analysis, orthopedics, musculoskeletal imaging and kinesiology. He is currently completing a fellowship in lower quarter biomechanical assessment at the Movement Performance Institute in Los Angeles. He is working on his Ph.D in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University with an emphasis of study on the biomechanics of gait and lumbar spine.
Dr. Patterson has been teaching biomechanics for the past 5 years and applying this knowledge to the assessment and treatment of movement dysfunctions. He regularly attends continuing education courses with an emphasis on movement assessment with courses taught by Dr. Claire Frank and Dr. Chris Powers. He has been a member of the APTA sports section for the past 10 years and works part time at Covina Hills Sports Medicine.
