Aresio Souza, PT, MS, CIE, AEP
Mr. Souza is a licensed physical therapist and certified ergonomist assisting companies in the US and abroad to manage their risk of musculoskeletal injuries. His unique background combining knowledge of human movement and engineering disciplines brings a blended approach to assist with workplace injury prevention as well as management during the return-to-work process. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Estacio de Sa University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1998. He subsequently received a masters degree in Physical Therapy from Methodist University of Piracicaba, in Sao Paulo, in 2005. Mr. Souza further expanded his interest in ergonomics at New York University (NYU) where he earned a Master’s degree in Ergonomics and Biomechanics in 2011. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at New York University. Besides, Mr. Souza is a professional translator in the English-Portuguese-English language pair in each direction and is a member of the American Translation Association (ATA). He speaks fluent Spanish as a third language and currently serves as New Jersey President of the American Society of Exercise Physiology.
